Journey from Las Tablas to Begoña. Wanted to take the cute overground trains, but decided on the more conventional type. . .

And then it just hits you. The view emerging from la boca de metro at Begoña is amazing. .  .

Then pause to catch breath, tostadas with hands clutched around hot coffee at Plaza Castilla. . .

Then I get to ride the cute trains in search of the elusive long distance skyline via Pinar de Chamartín where we were inhibited by high rise blocks, then a final push to El Corte Inglés at Sanchinarro where they emerged again. . .

New shoes not helping the seemingly 10km hike back to base in not-broken-in shoes. I now have blisters to prove it...

Restaurante El Estragón at Puerta de Toledo tonight. What an ordeal!

Holiday!

Looking for an excuse to visit Madrid for the weekend, so how about having to make a photo essay entitled, 'Las 4 Torres'? No? Well, too bad!

No totality today in Alicante but we are expecting a few exciting reactions; some of the those gathered on the terrace are to witness their first ever solar eclipse. Hey!

Quite easy, but nothing can get through to smbd. openSUSE 13.1 rc2.

We must add to the /usr/sbin/smbd apparmor profle.
